Brrdcast started with a simple observation: every neighborhood is full of people who already know the answer to your question — the right plumber, the cafe that's quiet on Wednesdays, the water tanker schedule. They're a wall away. There was no way to reach them.
We're a small team of engineers and designers building Brrdcast in Bangalore. We came from companies that taught us how to scale to a billion users — and how that same scale flattens local nuance. We didn't want to build a global product. We wanted to build something that worked best when you used it from one specific corner.
The first version lives inside WhatsApp because that's where Indians already talk to their neighborhood. The second version lives on the web for the people who prefer a browser. The third version — the one we're working on now — connects the two so a question you ask in chat shows up answered on the web, and vice versa.

These aren't taglines. They're the calls we make when a feature is ambiguous or a tradeoff has to be picked.

Hyperlocal beats global
The internet got really good at answering questions for everyone. It got worse at answering questions for someone in your apartment block. We're optimizing for the second one.

Privacy by default
We never publish your name to strangers. Broadcasts go to people inside your radius — and even then, your identity stays masked unless you choose to reveal it.

Humans in the loop
AI handles the boring parts: moderation, deduping, rewriting. Real humans answer the hard parts: lived experience, fresh facts, opinions worth trusting.

Honest about scope
We tell you what works today and what doesn't. No promises about bookings or payments until the day they ship. The amber note on the landing isn't legalese — it's our policy.
